The Optimus Keyboard

There are moments where you see a new idea and you both can't believe it and can't believe someone didn't think of it sooner. That describes the prototype Optimus keyboard, where every single key is a standalone display. That means you can display anything you want on a key--a letter, images, whatever. It's a totally configurable input device.

It will hopefully be in production sometime in 2006, and it vaults to the top of my "I don't need it but I must have it" list.
